hey guys needing some of your expertise on this one, im swapping out a 4.3 cpi out of a blazer i just picked up and would like to put a 4.3 tbi in it, what all do i need to swap from cpi to tbi, thanks for your help

 

What year blazer was it from? If it was post 96 I would keep the vortec set-up that it came with. If it is a TBI 4.3 than you just need the wire harness and everything that came with it. I am not sure of prom capabilty but you can always burn a new one. The 4.3 TBI was much weaker than the 305 TBI. Any reasons for a downgrade.

CPI 92-95
CSFI 96-02

vortec was introduced in 1992. I would definantl keep the CPI over the TBI. You would be loosing around 20 horse on that swap.

 

not downgrading shifty, it has a 4.3 and swapping in a 4.3

hey 89305rs should i just get a 4.3 and swap the intake and that or get a 4.3 cpi motor?

oh yea the truck is a 93 4x4 automatic

 

Oh I thought this was going into an f-body. I may have to shut this down per board rules unless you can get your answer soon. I thought all pre 96 4.3's were TBI but 89305RS seems to know better. So I am not sure.
