Fuel Pressure Gauge Question

I just got my parts in to install a fuel pressure gauge on my car (3/8" tee and 0-30 PSI gauge). I have been searching through past threads and I know what to do but I couldn't find the answer to one question I have. What type of sealant should I use between the 3/8" tee and the fuel pressure gauge? I have heard to use teflon tape or threadlock but which would be better? Also, does anyone know how far the gauge should thread into the tee (I would assume all the way but I'm not sure)?

I used teflon tape.
