Who has a single plane intake?
Just looking for some feedback, I picked one up and I have people telling me left and right I'm gonna lose my low end. I thought single planes and fuel injection worked well together. So I want some thoughts from people who actually are running them.

Dewey is one of the single plain pioneers. He did not lose any low end with his single plane swap. Well none that his butt dyno could feel. I am sure he will shed his knowledge on this subject.

Yes i have one.
I didn't notice any loss of power, and the throttle response is AMAZING. I'm very glad I went this route. THIS is an old thread in which DanW brought the single plane idea up again. Since TBI is not dependent on the vacume pulses to fuel, like carbs are. A single plane does not suffer the low RPM fueling issues that a carb does. I did not put this intake on a stock motor, so I cannot comment on how its performace is there. But with my cammed 305 (206/216 .447 .447 112), it fits like a glove.

Pablo is also running one.
I switched from an RPM AirGap to the Holley Street Dominator single plane. Keep in mind that the AirGap is supposedly the cream of the crop in dual planes.
If anything, my low end response is better with the single plane. Also, I moved so much more air up top that I had to retune.

Pablo is running the same intake I just bought, while his times are extremely impressive I failed to ask how it affected his low end power. Its a good thing you TBI gurus are around :hail:
with the carb the low end is kind of lazy but who races at 2000 rpm? the times speak for themselves as far as how the performance is.
With TBI on there the low end is great, youd never know there was a single plane under the hood with the way it responds.
Most (and i do mean most) of the torque loss associated with single planes is because there is reduced vacuum signal at the carburetor. No vacuum signal needed with TBI.

I have an S10 that I need to get repaired (or replaced) after being totaled that will probably get the left over motor. I have two 350 shortblocks so the TPI heads and 7525 might go on one of those. ? Don't know right now

So, do you think the single-plane Vic. Jr will work on my 92 TBI? or would the stock intake be better? Just curious, even though the Vic Jr is a High RPM intake, Im just wondering, cause if will work, then Ill bolt it on in a heartbeat.
