Searched...need help finding K&N Part#

Hey guys, I need to switch out the paper element that came with my Mr. Gasket Chrome open element. I want to put in a K&N filter and bought Part#1650 that said it was 14x3, but it is too big. What is the part# for the K&N filter element that will fit the 14x3 base&lid??

Hmmm... This is interesting. If I remember correctly the K&N number you have is correct. Their 14x3 will not fit in your element. You may have to try a fram airhog or get a different element setup to fit the k&N. You can also call K&N directly. They could help you.

I got a 14"X3" K+N air filter not too long ago. I'll see if I can dig up the part number.

I am holding the box that my K&N 14x3 came in and the part number says E-1650. I believe I bought mine at autozone. You have the right one. What about it does not fit? Just measure it to make sure they pakaged it correctly.

Did you double check and make sure that the Mr. Gasket air filter was really 14"X3"? My cheap Spectre open element wasn't really 14"X3", and I didn't realize this until I got my K+N.

Thanks for the replies fellas, but yeah, I am actually using the summit flat base and the Mr. Gasket top and I'm positive it is 14x3. I was looking at the K&N filter and it is actually a 3737 in the box of a 1650! I bought it at Pepboys and I guess someone switched it out. So needless to say I will be going back to exchange it tomorrow.
