TBI VSS help needed searched all over and nothing

hey guys I have a s10 with a 3.4 and a TBI swap thats almost complete, I know its a s10 but it has the same vss setup that the camaro's, birds, and trans ams use. I used to have a 87 formula firebird with a lt4 swap in it but that met a horible death, anyway on my quest for knowlage i remebered this wonderful site and all the good info i got from it. Ok onto the question, i know the older thirdgen's use a VSS thats mounted on the back of the guage cluster just like my s10. My problem is i dont have the connector that goes on the VSS to hook it up to the TBI wiring harness. the cluster mounted VSS has the buffer box built in and it used a flat circuit board connector, My plan is to just solder the wires directly to the contacts on the board but for the life of me I cannot find any wiring diagram that goes into that much detail. what i am looking for is the wiring diagram for it, someone who can tell me which wires go where on the connector, or if someone happens to have a extra connector laying around. this is the last thing i need before i can get my s10 runnig sweet with the new swap. Please somebody help me, i have searched all over just to find out what 3 wires do, i know it nees +12v, ground, and the vss signal but i just need to know where the go on the contact on the vss buffer. i am trying to get my hands on a helms manual but i cant justify soending 100 bux on something that i will use to just find 3 wires. somebody has to know out there thanks a ton u guys and i can be reached at my email D95SI420@hotmail.com as well as posting here

people will be pretending your in a firebird still cause of the board rules.
I've nothing to offer into your problem but I'd recommend searching using tricksters name and the VSS, that dude has the wiring diagrams for everything somewhere on this board.
good luck

help me

i know the rules and i am sorry i had to post about my s10 on here but none of the s10 sites have been any help. I got such great info on here and i figured why not give it a try. I am actually about to buy another thirdgen (90 firebird) but i really want a 4th gen bad. If anyone has the pinout for the vss on the back of the cluster or can just tell me what wires go where to the buffer i would be in the boards debt. this is such a great site and this liitle issue is driving me insane, its all thats holding me back on finishing the swap, if it helps i have a 3.4 camaro engine in it i just dont want to spend the $90 on one of those aftermarket VSS senors that go inline with the speedo cable when i have a new one already on the cluster. i need to get to a junkyard and try to find the connector but i work late and i am only off on sundays i would really appreciate any help, and thank u to the one person who has already relied. Like i said sorry for bending the board rules a little but i really need help

I have wiring diagrams but they only say:

8 = vss output (brown)
9 = vss ground (black/white)
10 = vss power (pink/black)

Im not sure how accurate this is as I havnt had to mess with the VSS yet.

Start a fresh thread on the electronics board about your VSS issue. Im sure someone over there has better wiring diagrams then what I have.

I'm not sure about the 3.4L TBI setups as far as the VSS is concerned. However, on the 5.0L TBI's in the camaro's and firebirds they required a VSS buffer box mounted under the dash by the ECM while the 2.8L, and the 5.0L & 5.7L TPI models had the VSS intergrated into the dash cluster.

I think my 88 just has the unit in the dash cluster so it varies from model to model. Might be easiest to go out and get a connector for it.
