Ok..got my 350..now what?
Ok here is the deal. I just bought an old 1988 Chevy 3/4 ton truck for $200. This truck has alot of new parts on it and one of them is the 350 crate engine. The guy sold me this truck for dirt cheap because the body and frame are both pretty much toast so he is dumping it. I plan on putting this 350 in my TransAm.
Currently the 350 is configured with a 2bbl carb. I was wondering. What exactly will I need to make this 350 work with my TBI. I basically need a shopping list of items I will need to make this work. My mechanic will be doing all the plug and play. He knows how to do engine swaps however he never did an upgrade swap as in going from 305 to 350. The only swaps he has done was 305 to 305 or 350 to 350.
A list of parts needed would be greatly apreciated.

Thats all I can think of at the moment although I know there is a few other things that I just can't think of right now. I'm sure someone else will chime in and tell you exactly what you will need.

Depending on what the motor is you may or may not need a chip. If its a stock engine then you might just be able to get away with a set of 55 pph injectors. I did that with my 350 that had a low lift and duration cam in it and it worked acceptably. Do we know anything more about this motor?

The engine is a Stock 350 as far as I know. The intake manifold on it is for a carbed based system. Will that intake work for my TBI or will I need to get a new intake.

Well thats the plan. We (me and my mech) are gonna look at making this 350 put out 350hp. I have $6,000 that I plan on putting into this engine. I originally was planning on buying a crated engine from GMPP but this deal was quite the steal so I jumped on it.
My mech will be pulling the engine soon and putting it on a stand and doign the build up from there. Not sure what parts to get but I definately want to hit the 350hp range.
