manifold advise weiand xceller?

my xram crossfire replacement manifold is coming off as we speak. i need some advice. do i keep the weiand xcellerator 7547(up to 6500 rpm) i have on now or consider an alternative single plane(torker 2) or run the edelbrock TBI manifold bored to allow my 454 TB to fit? my weiand has about 3/8 inch shaved off the top of it to allow max hood clearance when used with the xram. does that affect its potential? i think i am picking up a full inch more of clearanceto hood. i could possibly have enough room to add a taller intake as the torker 2 or even GM performance parts intake which has raised runners when compared to weiand. think the edelbrock (truck?) can flow enough to support my new cam in sig(5800 rpms)? dont wanna drop in performance! is doing away with the adapter plate and the linkage issues and the gringing away the lip at top of intake(454 TB) worth it to run the Edelbrock TBI but possibly not flow as well as weiand single plane?
