So I found some good and bad
My stock oil gauge reads zero psi at warm.I just bought my 92 RS L03.It has 266,000kms on it.I noticed a massive oil leak the pan was rotted through so I cleaned and brushed it for hours and coated it with JP weld and fiberglass=oil leak fixed.I then noticed my gauge sending unit was leaking oil so I pulled it out and installed a mechanical oil psi gauge. My stock gauge would never go past 200kpa.
Are these oil pressure readings normal with the amount of miles on my car?
with the mechanical gauge I get about 10-15psi at idle after comming off the highway for 40 mins driving approx 60mph the whole way.My idle is a steady 500rpm.On the highway warms My oil pressure reads between 30-45psi at approx 2000-2500rpm.These readings are with a mechanical pressure gauge the stock read way lower.

Our gauges are not very accurate to begin with so I'm not suprised.
What oil are you running? Oil filter?
Also, just go ahead and get another oil pressure sending unit. It's cheap so why not?

.Now that I have a mechanical gauge i wont need to replace the sending unit just yet. Thread
