Are the heads modified for lift? If no, then the Xe262 is about all I would attempt to put under them. If they are, then other things come into play. Stall, compression, gears, just to name a few.

well, this is for my truck, didn't want to say it for lock threat, even if it is a TBI motor
Compression is stock......probably 9:1, 5-speed, 3.73 posi
specs (both done, and not done yet)
electric fan swap, 180 stat, Open element, stock L98 heads, long tube headers, 3 inch exhaust, ultimate TBI mods, TBI spacer, timing at 4 advance, custom chip, 3 inch body lift, bar cranks, 35 inch tires

Look into the 4x4 cams, XE version.
You can hit me up on a messenger service if you have one, contact info in my sig.
I'll be glad to talk to you on there, if you want to avoid the lock.

We decided to bend the rules a tad and so long as a post/thread is tbi related it can be discussed on the boards, regardless of the vehicle.

I would look into the Crane selection of cams, specifically their cams for "computer controlled" vehicles. Mine makes great torque (2030) with it's 204/214 duration. Keep your duration low, like below 220 and you should be in the area where you want to make power.
