this is for an lo5....kinda, i have l98 heads for it, looking for torque

Are the heads modified for lift? If no, then the Xe262 is about all I would attempt to put under them. If they are, then other things come into play. Stall, compression, gears, just to name a few.

well, this is for my truck, didn't want to say it for lock threat, even if it is a TBI motor


Compression is stock......probably 9:1, 5-speed, 3.73 posi

specs (both done, and not done yet)

electric fan swap, 180 stat, Open element, stock L98 heads, long tube headers, 3 inch exhaust, ultimate TBI mods, TBI spacer, timing at 4 advance, custom chip, 3 inch body lift, bar cranks, 35 inch tires

We decided to bend the rules a tad and so long as a post/thread is tbi related it can be discussed on the boards, regardless of the vehicle.

LO5 is good.

I would look into the Crane selection of cams, specifically their cams for "computer controlled" vehicles. Mine makes great torque (2030) with it's 204/214 duration. Keep your duration low, like below 220 and you should be in the area where you want to make power.
