I'd say LT1 cam, but, how old are your valve springs on your heads? I know you did a rebuild recently, did you replace them then? I've heard that if the valve springs are too old then the LT1 cam will be too much for them.
Can you burn your own PROMs, or is someone else doing that for you?

definily the cam first .. then the heads.. besides l98 heads with 64 cc's with drop your compression unless you ahve then milled and thats mroe money...
also you will definitly need PROM tunning form someone who know swhat they are doing and not a guess or it wont run right. Trust me i know. I finally jsut bought the PRom stuff myself

Pass on the 083 heads for now. Even with the drop in compression they are better than the stockers. However, you can do better since there are millions of cheap 305 heads out there that will work better. So for now ****** up the cam. Just look how much fun Dewey is having on the stock heads

If you can't do both, go for the cam. TonyC out here in PHX is running 15.1's with stock heads and an LT1 cam. With headers and a small amount of chip tuning. He's got me by almost .5 seconds, FOR NOW!!!!!

Well I actually just figured out that i can probably get both.
So i will see better results with 305 Heads?

Yes. Get some 305 TPI heads 081's. They have the same flow characteristics as L98 heads but have smaller chambers (58cc) to keep your compression where it is.
