I've been having an ongoing EGR Seloniod problem, so today, I just popped the vac. line to it and the vehicle runs so much smoother. Would there be any drawback to leaving it like this untill summer?
Also - anyone want to venture a guess if using no egr as oppossed to the rough-running messed up EGR setup will yeild better fuel economy?

Running without EGR will hurt your economoy a tad and will throw a code. I would at least plug that vacuum line you pulled off. You should be okay but you really need to get rid of it in the chip. EGR is actually one of those good things.
