Don't abandon TBI just yet!
I recently posted this article in the TPI forum, and, you gotta applaud Preston Smith's accomplishments throughout this entire 90's buildup. Why can't the same principles be applied to TBI?
Without the supercharger, Preston's 305 IROC hit the low 12's at one point... which is something I firmly believe the TBI system to be quite capeable of doing also (with the right tuning of course).
I'm honestly ready to join you true TBI'ers in this plight of yours!
