PVC valve
Would replacing the PVC valve with a open element filter improve my car or should i just leave it the way it is? If the open element is better, how do procede in doing this? Do I just plug the hose from the TBI or do i do something else?

First off, welcome to the boards !
Now, I think you might be getting a little confused about what you are intending to do. Go to the top of this (TBI) forum and read the all stickies there. That should clear alot up.
Saved ya some work . . .check this out.

Search for PCV valve. You'll learn alot about it.
I'm not sure what a filter replacement for the PCV valve would be called, but I don't think it would be called an open element filer.
If you replace the valve with a open element, then any gases inside the engine won't get sucked out.
The PCV valve helps reduce emissions by having the engine burn fumes coming from inside the engine. It also helps to remove condensation from inside the motor.
Search and you can find alot of info. I did the search a couple of days ago and learned more than I can remember.
I would leave the PCV valve (or replace with a new one).

Just leave the PCV valve as is. I think I know what your trying to say, but there is really no point. Those retro-fit PCV systems/kits out there are really for engines that didn't come stock with a PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system.
You can put in a push-in breather in the passenger-side valve cover if you install an open element air cleaner and want to replace the stock breather assembly and foam filter, if you want.
