thinking about vortec 305,stock computer?

thinking about vortec 305,stock computer?

hey guys it`s me again,i`m thinking about getting a vortec 305 from the dealer ship i work at and i want to know if the stock computer will work for it.if not ,what kind of tuning would i expect?

the stock computer will work for you, you will need to tune it though. I would read the stickies in the DIY forum, to get a basis of what is involved, then ask for clarification on anything you are not sure of.

what kind of tuning?

what manifold? larger injectors? larger TB? possibly reconfigeration of VE tables. changes in AE or "pumpshot". if a different manifold tweak the coolant vs A/F(choke tables). experiment with timing values?

probably the stock vortech heads,maybe worked over a little,a eddy air gap vortech manifold with some 2055`s under `em.i heard the cam isn`t too bad in these so i might keep it.if i can find a cheap 7.4 throttle body that would help too.as far as the injectors what would be good for a set up like this?
