LO3 to a LO5
I know this has been asked and answered many of times. But right now I don't have the option of doing a search (running late for something else).
The car currently has the LO3. What needs to be changed for it to accept the LO5?
Will the LO3 computer work with the LO5 with chip burning?

you can go to gmpartsdirect.com for the sensor/esc module.. you might want to get some 55# injectors as well... you can get the caprice prom chip from TBIchips.com.. i got mine from there and it works pretty well, pretty much a stock LO5 prom w/o the speed limiter and slight modifications to the fuel tables..
L03 to L05
I just did this swap in my Caprice and if you plan on running it stock and having a chip burned you really only need to change the knock sensor. I worked with Brian at TBICHIPS on my programming. What I had was a 45,000 mile daily driver Caprice with a broken ring land on the #1 piston. I needed it back on the road cheap but couldn't pass up the chance to drop in the 350. But as I said, I needed it as cheap as possible (well, I could have got a junk yard motor cheaper, but.....) Bryan noted that the 305 injectors would run the stock L05. I believe he just programs them for a longer duty cycle. He indicated they'd even run it with an LT1 Cam, though that would be pushing it. I do plan on changing the ESC module however though, but it runs great and should be more powerful with the programming than a stock L05. This got me back on the road with the 350 as cheaply as possible. I'll go with the larger injectors and LT1 Cam when I do the vortec head swap down the road. Yes, I know some on here don't like the idea of mail order chips. Now that I have a configuration that will run the car back and forth to work I plan on learning how to tune and doing the rest myself. I felt that the L03 might be too lean for the L05. So lay off me, I'm going to do it myself now!
