hey, i was wondering if the holley projection 2 barrel throttle body system is worth it. I can probably get one pretty cheap, but dont know much about it. Its either that or im going to go carbureted, maby slap a 600 CFM double pumper on it. Just something to get it running a little better. Its a basicly a stock 305 tbi iroc with a fuel pump thats just about to go out. Anybody have any ideas

 

the stock TBI isn't what's restricting your power... it's your heads and cam, and exhaust and intake, and the fact it's a 305.

 

I agree. Changing the TBI unit now would cause you headaches. The stock is more than enough to feed the motor until you max it out with extensive mods. If the deal is that good then hang onto it until you need it.

 

The fact that it is a 305 and has the stock heads isn't as much as the fact it has the stock cam in it and the restrictive stock exhaust system.
