TBI ecm change
Is it possible to run the GM tbi setup with a syclone ECM. Just trying to find a factory ecm that will deal with boost and adequately run the TBI.

Yeah, the 7749 ECM will run a TBI engine. Look over on the DIY-Prom board, there's a guy over there that did it and has it running. I think others have done it in the past too. It's a great option.

The only caveats are that the firing stratagy differs and the fueling stratagy with a tbi is a bit different then port injection. Nothing some tuning wouldnt fix, though.
Each tbi injector fires every time a cylinder fires (4 firings/rev). This keeps the maifold topped off with fuel. With the 749, there will be only two firings per revolution. This will cause the fueling to be a little funky. Again, I dont think itll stop it from working ok.

fueling will also, you need to refrence the MAP to the manifold under the blower, you will need more fuel as the boost goes up. What you don't need is some of the REALLY big fuel adders, because you are not compensating for the loss of effective fuel pressure.
