help

my freshly rebuilt 355 in a 82 Z, was running lean, even after putting in vett prom, so i did the little fuel pressure reg trick to raise pressure .---i get it up too around 20 psi but if going higher it starts flooding the front throtle body,??---------i thought i read here you could go higher on pressure with no problem,????? any help out there on this.??

I'm going to ***-u-me here (hehe), that whoever said this was also referring to certain sized injectors. What size are you running?

Are they leaking? You can run tbi injectors at fairly high pressures if the seals are still in good shape.

If it quickly pegs to 45psi from 20 that means you're maxing out the spring in the regulator and it's binding. back it off a little or get a new stiffer spring in there that will apply more force with less movement.
