Ram air - computer ??

If I make myself a ram air intake ... can I really expect any increase in power and gas mileage (due to better combustion) ... or .. will the computer reset by feeling more air and OVER COMPENSATING with tons of wasted fuel ?

I doubt you would see much change at all. if anything you will lean out a hair WOT, the WOT fueling is controlled by the chip, there is no o2 feedback. at part throttle, it figures it based on MAP and temp, then uses the o2 corrections to get it at 14.7:1. So even if it does change your part throttle at all, it would correct it back to stoich.

You'll defnitely pick up some power from a setup like that or an open element, Dewey was just pointing out that the computer will not need any changes that it will compensate for any small efficiency changes that an aircleaner would make. Go for it

my thinking is way off right now... with me running back and forth to the damn dealership... only half of the problems are fixed so far

at least I can dump the ducttape now.. since the passenger side window motor has been properly replaced...
