exactly as the title says, need some advice, just found out that the engine has the old 305 heads and cam, engine was rebuilt around 18k miles ago.
looking for a combo that is gonna be easy to tune as i have no idea how to do it.
Should i get either an LT1 or LT4 cam, and some vortech heads or is there an easier combo to work with, or should i just junk this engine and start from scratch.
Im gonna be doing all of this on about 1500 and its gotta include a set of headers and tuning. any and all advice will be appreciated

I would stick the F/Y body LT1 cam or the standard LT4 cam into it and leave the 305 heads. Swirl ports are not that bad they will run.

Fast has a good idea. I mean if you have the heads use them for now until you can afford something else. I mean those heads are not that good but it will run like fast said.
