Having some problems...HELP!!!
Hey guys, I'm having an issue I can't resolve. The camaro has been sitting for a while now (about 6 months) and I run it occasionally. About 2 months ago I took it out for a spin and it ran awesome as usual. About 3 weeks ago I cranked it up and it was spitting and spuddering really badly. Upon further inspection one of the injectors wasn't firing. I took the plugs off the injectors, swapped the sides they were on, and the one that wasn't firing started to work and the one that worked stopped. If I remember correctly this is a baddd sign and warrents a new ECM due to a bad injector driver?
If anyone can shed some light on this for me, PLEASE by all means.
Thanks in advance guys!

Anyone have ANY idea what's causing this? I need to get this car on the road asap and I'm at a standstill with this thing.

It might be a bad ECM, but don't replace it just yet.
Try this, take the non-working injector connector off and hook up a test light between the 2 terminals. Have someone else crank the engine over, and watch the light in the test light. Let me know if you get no light, a blinking light, or a steady light (I'm going off service manual test procedures).

I actually put a volt meter to it and i get nothing from the side that isn't firing. Just for good measure I put the volt meter on the working side and it jumped around like crazy. The test light said the same thing...the working side side lit up and the other didn't.
Dewey said that it sounds like a ground problem. One of the ground straps on the back of the pass. cyl. head to be exact. I'm going to take a look and see if all the straps back there are intact later today, but if anyone has any other ideas...PLEASE share!

Yeah, it's the pass. side that isn't working. I'm hoping, no praying, that a bad ground connection is all it is.
Does the manual tell you which side uses the grounds Dewey told me about?

The service manual has a wiring diagram right next to the diagnostic chart I was using, and it shows the grounds. The 2 wires I mentioned, CKT 468 and 467, are the grounds and run to the ECM.
I would try and explain how the wires run, but I'm not very good at that. If you want, I can duplicate it in MS Paint and post it.

I just found a wiring diagram online that shows the same thing that my service manual has in it. In the top right hand corner of the wiring diagram it shows the wiring for the injectors.
