oil suggestion

Alright it is time to change the oil for the first time since picking this car up. I am thinking about going synthetic but not exactly sure of the advantages over regular oil. The engine has 74,000 original miles and I want to get something of good quality that will help make the engine last as long as possible. What are your guys suggestions?

The only issue with switching to synthentic, is that it sometimes cleans some gunk out, that is acually sealing things up. Some people also have problems with the main seals seaping oil with the sythetics.

I am a big fan of synths, that being said, and run Mobile1 in my car.

if I do switch to synthetic, is there a different process for the first time when I put it in or can I just do it like a regular oil change. So far I'm not positive that I wanna go full synthetic, hence why I'm looking for suggestions on higher quality oil with long lasting effects whether it is synthetic or not

I just started using Quaker State "Q" oil... 5W-30, I didn't think it would feel anything, I mean oil is oil, right?

Wrong. It made my car run smoother and quieter than Mobile 1 synthetic. I don't know about the claims they make about it "unleashing your horsepower" but it sure as hell makes the motor sound and feel better.
