Delete pulley question

I've got an 89' camaro 305 TBI, I'm considering both an A/C delete pulley, and a smog pump delete. Will removing either of these systems cause any SES lights, if so how would i fix or prevent them? Also, what special steps are included in removing these systems? And finally, do you have any hints for removing these systems?

Welcome aboard! You have come to the right site to research up on your car. A few minutes with the search button will net you the answers to your questions.

Removing these two items from your car are very common and there are many posts out there that outline this in detail. Removing these will not throw any codes on your car. You can do the smog pump delete without the pulley though. There is a tech article on the main page in addition to the info you find with your searches. Because this questions is so frequently asked I will shut it down in order to reduce redundent threads in the archives. I am fully confident that you will find your answer. Good luck and happy modding!

dont belive so but it may cause problems w/ the o2 sensor as i think ive read that when the smog is running it changes the values of the o2 but check in the prom board to make sure i plan on jerkin mine when i install everything but im just goin w/ a diff. belt and new route for it instead of a 50$ delete pulley

This is true for certain year TPI cars. TBI is exempt from this.
