No Fuel, no starter... Plz Help, time sensitive!
I was speaking to a friend on another board... I'm going to start one here aswell. I need this car to be running tomorrow.

My situation: Car wouldn't turn over this morning. Tried to jump it, but the starter still wouldn't turn over, so I bougtha new battery and roll started the car. It immediately died, but did run for a moment as I mashed the gas peddle. Seemed like a fuel or ignition problem... Now, here's what I've done since then...
""Battery is now charged and headlights are bright.
I turn the key, the engine doesn't turn over.
I jam a screw driver between the starter leads, and the engine turns over...
I turn the ignition on, and jam the screw driver into the starter and the engine turns over, and the plugs spark, but the injectors do not spray ANY fuel
The fuel pump makes its everyday happy sounds, but no fuel is leaving the injectors.
Thinking this is the clutch saftey switch, Andrew jams a paperclip into the switch, overriding it, and still no fuel or starter, but we can force the starter to turn using a screwdriver on the contacts, and the coil/plugs are sparking.
So the reason the engine wont run is becuase it isn't getting any fuel.
Now, why in the hell doesn't the starter kick in on it's own if the screwdriver trick works?
None of the fusable links to the starter appear to be burnt or soft. Regardless, that shouldn't effect the fuel injection.
What should I do? I need this fixed tomorrow.""
This must be some sort of inertia switch or saftey thign kicking in. All of my fuses are fine.
Please help.. I'm stranded in Prince George and need to be back to work in Prince Rupert tomorrow morning. I could take the bus, but I still need a car in Rupert.
Last night the car drove fine. I parked it, and in the morning it didn't run. I dont' suspect the fuel filter is plugged becuase the starter doesn't turn over either... No starter and no fuel = something... ???
Oh, and what exactly does the inertia switch disable if the car has one? Just fuel? Or could it also disable the starter?
