camshaft selection
Hi guys still trying to think about the best camshaft for my application, i was looking through summit's catalog again and thinking to myself *why get the xe262h if it pulls to 6k but, i'm only planning to rev to 5k*.
So i'm wondering about some truck torque cams and such, i'm thinking some 1.6 r tipped rockers arms to up the lift to something a little more reasonable with either 110 or 112 lobe sep, along with a power band from 1,500 to 4,500 would meet my needs better then, i won't have to worry about a stalled converter either.....
Has any1 on here built a real mild 305 with stock bottom end going with a torque cam, or use 1 in there truck that they were real happy.
Basically i'm looking for cam reccomendations for about the 6th time.... Compression ratio on this engine should be 9.1with the heads milled.
Heres a couple of the part #s i was thinking about btw,
LUN-90350LK
CCA-CL12-249-4
CCA-CL12-231-2
CCA-CL12-230-2
CCA-CL12-235-2
i may be thinking a little to small but, tell me what you think i want it to pull from idle to 5k as best i can, past that i don't realy care, That and i amfond a of a very mild lope so some of the 112 sep 1s are mildly frowned upon imo. 111 or 110 would probably be better imo.
