FLUENT for Internal Combustion Engine Design
Check out page 6. I'll let everybody take a look and post their thoughts before I give my insight. 2 clues; Diesels are the main focus of emissions R&D right now and what good is an engines power if that engine can't be used in production because it fails for soot particle size?

IMO, Dodge had a good head in the mid-late 80s. The swirl port/fast burn heads that were used on the 318s. Those engines made good power and got good economy for what they were.
Also the GM TBI and OBS Vortec 305/350 were good engines, then the HP wars began.
