Exhaust ? Waiting for ebl...
I'm not going to start programming stuff myself until the EBL comes out and was wondering if I'll be fine when I get my headers and duals on there (they're finally coming I'm pumped
) without touching anything until the EBL comes. How drastically does this affect things? Right now I'm running a rough tune from tbichips.com. I can send before and after logs if anyone needs. I'm not very good at reading them but from what I can tell right now it runs a bit rich until it warms up (123 BLM) then once its at operating temp it sits right at 128. The exhaust should be on by the end of Feb at the latest unless something rediculus happens and one of my parts doesn't come in on time.

I've haven't had a chance to read through all 6+ pages of the EBL thread. Have they said what the expected release date is an a rough cost? I think all DIY TBI'ers are anxiously waiting for this software.

2-bar MAP lets you run boost (turbo, SC, blower, etc). Basically the ecm will register manifold pressures over normal atmospheric pressure at sea level. Youll be able to run up to ~14 psi of boost and have the ecm account for it.

Sounds good but we already run into fueling problems with just N/A motors. Guess I'll only be using 1 or 2 of the additional features, wish they would turn something like the speed limiter into the control for the EVAP system seems more of a PITA to have removed this feature above all others. EGR and the rest don't really matter but I can't see anyone wanting to ditch EVAP.

you always run rich on startup, it's called open loop. Your computer doesn't follow any readings from sensors in open loop, therefore it works on a set perameter which is usually pretty rich.
Once at operating temperature you are in what's called closed loop. This is when the computer starts taking the 02 sensor readings to help give you the perfect 14.7 to 1 a/f ratio, when you hook them up to a scanner an easy way to sorta kinda check if the 02 is working properly is it will keep changing from lean to rich nonstop to maintain a very close to 14.7 a/f ratio..

Well that explains that, but what is this exhaust going to do to my car, going from a single 2.5" pipe with factory manifolds to headers w/ dual 2.5" is a huge difference.

Just take the solenoid out, use a vacuum line reducer (can't think of the name, you can get them in the HELP section at Autoparts stores). Then run the hose to the driverside front fitting on the TBI.
