4.3 to 5.7 tbi (plz read)
alright guys, its been a while for me on here. but you guys have always been awesome help.
this isn't in a f-body, so please don't flame. my brother is looking at a 92 1500 to buy. I went to look at it with him. the guy said it had a 4.3 5-speed. he swapped in a 350 and 700r, but kept the throttle body from the 4.3.
suprisingly my bro said it ran pretty strong. it sounded alright too. theres just a couple of wires that need attention (clean up the engine a bit), no problem for me.
my main questions are about the induction. if a 350 chip would make this thing run better? or is this setup fine, assuming he's not looking for 400hp?
thanks!

Well you shouldent have any problems with the 4.3 TB on a 350. Both of my friends camaros have 4.3 TBs on them. I am not positive about the computer tho, it would make sence with a 350 chip it would add alittle more fuel but again i am not shure. Someone should be able to help you.

I'll move this to TBI and let the mods there decide if it should live.
If it stays here, I'll kill it.

it would not run very well unless the tune was changed. i will suggest that was done by prior owner or a for hire tuner. in fact going from stock 350 to mod 350 does not run very well at all. ask me how i know?

thanks for all the info and patience, five7kid. if the mods dont mind this staying alive... does anyone know if a 350 chip is the best route?
