TBI fuel pump(s)?

I am in the process of bringing an ex-drag car back to life for street use. When I got the car it was more or less only metal and paint with no electrics at all. I have built and installed a carb'ed 406 SBC, and recreated most of the electrical system. The next issue is the fuel system. I would like to use a stock "type" in-tank pump. I already have a fuel pressure regulator to cut down the pressure. Will a TBI (low pressure) fuel pump work, or must I use one of the higher pressure TPI 255 lph pumps?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

be careful,

some TBI uses a positive displacement pump,

with a regulator somewhere else, to
limit maximum pressure.

pressure, without a regulator,
could be anything

I was planning on using a 1990 style pump.
