Stainless Fuel Lines for TBI

Hey guys last weekend i ordered some stuff from summit for replacement of my stock fuel lines in the engine bay going from the frame rail hoses to the back of the TB. It wasnt very hard and didnt cost a whole lot and looks great. I will soon be adding pics but here is a list of parts that I used. From summit:

AER-FBM2183 Fuel Pressure guage FITTING 1 each
EAR-991954ERL -6 TO 14MM X1.5 TB fuel fitting 2 each
EAR-991955ERL -6 TO 16MM X1.5 TB Fuel fitting 2 each
RUS-660571 SS Tube nut pack of 2 3 packs
RUS-660651 SS Tube nut sleeve pack of 2 3 packs
SUM-220238 3/8 304 STAINLESS 20FT 1 roll
SUM-800130 GAUGE FUEL PRES LIQUID FILL 30 1 each

I bent and flared the tubing for all the fittings with tools i picked up at Sears. The TB fuel fittings go into the back of the TB and into the rubber lines coming off your frame rail and these fitting allow you to use AN fittings to connect your fuel lines. The 16mm fittings are for the feed line and the 14mm fittings are for the return line. Also i worked in a fuel pressure guage into the feed line as well.

sure thing, also instead of running both feed and return lines from the back of the TB along the drivers side edge of the intake and then back behind the alternator, i ran the feed line where is usually went but then i ran the return line on the opposite side of the intake then across the front of the intake and then behind the alternator to the rubbber lines.

here is the feed line:

here is the return line:

here is the back of the TB:

and here is the connection at the rubber lines coming off the frame rail:

Your set-up looks good. I thought you had used stainless flex line. After I re-read your thread I see that you did in fact bend your own tubing. Besides the fuel pressure gage is their much advantage to what you did? It looks pretty close to stock (but looks great!).

When I did mine, I replaced the rubber lines. Rubber fuel lines are not my friend.

I ran mine up and behind the master cyl. The is a fuel pressure port near the firewall, this way I can test fuel pressure easily while driving the car.

I dont know if there is any clear advantage, i just had my stock lines all hacked up and patched with rubber lines and i just wanted a nice stainless stock look and the ability for fuel pressure readings.

You most certainly accomplished that

Dewey, do you have a pic of this? I want to see how you "safely" read an analog fuel gage while driving!

By having a passanger look at the guage, while I drive. I always have someone with me when I tune. I can't keep my eyes on the road, while looking at laptop that is datalogging. I have a passanger do that. Same with the FP gauge.

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but I am trying to figure out how to adapter a fuel pressure gauge on the back of my throttle body while still retaining my stock lines/fittings other than the adapter fitting. What is the thread size/type that screws into the stock tb inlet fitting?

Yeah, I knew about that fitting. But honestly, I cant justify spending 40 bucks on something that simple. I'm looking for some other way to adapt it. Thanks anyways.

Dang. I would have had one better. Not to start anything, but my brother re-did his fuel lines AND brake lines.....ALL LINES. From the tank to the front of the car and all brake lines replaced. Now I'm mad at him because I want all new fuel lines and brake lines....just so you guys know I mean ALLLLLLL FUEL AND BRAKE LINES. Should have posted this up....he made custom lines though (made them to where he wanted them to go for a cleaner engine bay). Its awesome having nice shiny (well I guess shiny) stainless lines running everywhere from one brake to another and from the tank to the engine. I have to say it looks really good with clean lines like that.

Not sure of the labeled name.

You may have to go to a store to get it (and actually look thru their fitting book).

I've heard that it couldn't be found online either.

Sorry, that's not much help............

Hey, No problem Thanks alot though! Is this the same thing as like the fuel pressure tester deals you get? Then you have to take out the shcrader valve that comes in the fittings?

No, it should have 3/8 threads for the gauge.
