They are T-45 if I recall, they may be T-50. they are one of the two. I would have to go dig thru the garage, and try to find the bolts for the accessory system from when I had serp belts. I'm too lazy for that though. I also want to think that there were two diffrent torx bits used, but that have only been on the alternator side.

Hope that helps. I would say I am 80%-90% that they are T-45 though.

if the t-40 seems small, i bet it is a T-45. make sure you clean them out good, then maybe use a small hammer to get the bit in and catching good. The other trick, is to use a pry-bar to push on the end of the ratchet, to push the bit into the bolt, while you loosen it.

clean all the grease and gunk from around them w/ a razor blade...then soak em real good with p.b. blaster, or wd-40...then tap on them with a hammer(to vibrate em a little so the penetrating oil and get in there real good....let it soak a day or so....then use a breaker bar and the torq socket and with pressure on it smack with a hammer...they'll come out for sure...

It depends on how rounded out it is. If you really mangled it up, you might be screwed. There is a point, where I would have to be there to see what options there are. you may be looking at easy-outs, or cutting the head off of it, and getting the brackets off, the getting the rest of the bolt out with vice grips and chanel locks. It all depends on how damaged things are, and what kind of access you have.

I have the must luck with really stuck bolts, by using a braker bar, and while pusing on the bar, I keep pounding the bit into the bolt, the combination of driving the bit into the bolt, and the impact brakes things loose.

Dewey, that is a good idea...I very seldom do thing like this, I was in a hurry, and did not clean them out like I knew I should have done.....Think i will grind the heads off, then get them out, when they go back in, they will NOT BE TORKS, I HATE THOSE THINGS......................I am looking for a way to get rid of some more of the "Bracket, AC Delete thing" Want to clean the front of the motor up some more..It looks 100 percent better now..Thanks for the replys, Tom

be careful taking to much out, there is a good amount of tension on those. I sheared a bolt of in the head, by trying to remove too much of the brackets. I finaly just went to a v-belt setup, to clearn things up, since I only run a PS pump, and alternator.

HEAT! get a cheap propane torch. I have used mine so many times its not funny.. while working bolts loose on my 73 914. talk about stuck bolts, try 35 years old!

Vice grips if you rounded it out.

PB blaster or some sort of penatrating oil (i use some that has some graphite in it). then propane... have fire extinquisher handy, I've never had penatrating oil catch fire on me out of control but always good when playin with fire. Then clamp those grips on their HARD and get a big f'n hamer and see what happens.
