305 tbi to 350 tbi
Update:
1992 Firebird. Swapped my 305 TBI with a remanufactured 350 bored to .040. Installed my original 305 manifold and throttle body and all new sensors, etc to the new 350. I did put a 350 ESC module on along with a 350 knock sensor. Do the other sensors, etc have to be specific for a 350 in order to get acurate temp reading on my dash gauge and oil pressure readings on dash gauge as well?
I am burning a 350 chip as i type, lol and then will install 350 injectors too.
This is the "normal" oil pressure for a 305 TBI
Vin E, Oil Pressure Dimensions
Normal Oil Pressure
1st Step 8 psi at 1000 rpm Note: Minimum
2nd Step 18 psi at 2000 rpm
3rd Step 24 psi at 4000 rpm
I need to know what "normal" oil pressure is for a 350 TBI.
Questions:
1. Do i need an oil pressure switch/sensor for a 350??? My current one is brand new and for a 305.
2. What should my dash gauge be reading? It never drops below 40 psi and is usually around 60 even at full operating temperature.
So, any ideas? Do i need a temp sending unit for a 350 and a oil pressure switch for a 350 as well?

That oil pressure does sound low, what guage are you using to test this with? I wouldn't trust the stock guage in the dash as far as I could throw it.
