Edelbrock TBI Manifold
Just wondering how much of a gain if any I would get with the Edelbrock TBI intake manifold(#3704)? This would be on a relatively stock car only 160 stat, K&N filter and Catback exhaust. I don't really plan on doing any other work to the car like heads cam etc...

I've been interested in what numbers and improvements the intake would give you. Just the intake though.
If you really want to take advantage of the intake you must do the cam, and even heads. Cam and intake go hand to hand.
I think you will feel some butt dyno but not much...
Somebody who has that manifold please tell us how and if there was any improvement. Possibly dyno sheats, but butt dyno counts too.
Laters.

On a stock motor you will see little to no gain. The engine has other bottle necks. At the very least the stock exhaust (from engine to tail pipe) needs to be replaced. Trying to get more air into your motor won't help unless you can get it out. IMHO an intake isn't woth it until you swap cams and get into chip tuning.
I have this intake and installed it before I had headers. The car felt no different on the butt dyno. However, now that I have a cam and exhaust I am making use of it.

Carb intake w/ adapter > that intake for sure.
Plus it will have more versatility and resale value. And on a stock car you're pretty much wasting time and money putting it on...

If you have headers and ported swirl ports??? Would that help??
I guess if youre gonna do the intake you better do the cam too!

dont buy that
go buy some nice headers, on a dyno a 305 pulled 20HP more and got 1-2mpg more.
which is true, ive noticed a huge improvement since i installed them.
and get good metal gaskets, unless you want to be replacing them over and over.
