350 tbi streetability?

I have a 350 tbi in my car right now. I know the injectors are too small which causes the engine to go lean at 4000 rpms, and i know the cam is too big for my motor. I was a cheap rebuild and has been giving me so much trouble. I was wondering if i rebuilt my motor form a respectable machine shop, got the right size injectors, lt1 cam and full exhaust, how streetable would it be? What king of mpg should i be getting? And... I have a tuner.

When you say you have a tuner, do you mean you have a guy who does all your tuning or do you mean that you have the hardware to tune your car. If you have a tuner (guy) and he can't figure out a mild 350 TBI build, get a new tuner. If you have the hardware, start by logging with ALDL and focus on getting all the BLM's in the 125-130 range. After that you should have a good enough grasp on it to stick in larger injectors, change the injector constant (BPW constant) and retune the BLM's. Then do WOT fueling, then do all the timing.

my tuner is the moderator for the exhaust board here and the socal borad. The problem with my car now is teh fact that the compression is too high and the cam doesnt have enough overlap causing the car to ping. The af is right on and the timing is a couple degrees off stock. When we added timing it pinged like hell.
