I'm curious to know if there are any size differences in the 350 TBI from the 305 TBI? I have a 92 RS with the 305 TBI and have come across a 350 TBI setup from a Caprice ex-cop car. I've looked around and not found much on tis, but can some body help me with the specs of these two different throttle body set-ups?? I'm mostly concerned with the size of the throttle bores and the injector sizes.....

The 350 TBI throttle body is the exact same size, but the injectors are larger. I believe they're 61 lbs vs 55 lbs for the 305. The Caprice cop car TBI units are 65 lbs. You can use a 454 truck TBI which is larger with 72 lbs injectors, but the TPS switch is different and will need to be modified. Also, it has no provision for the 700R4's TV cable. Or you can purchase an aftermarket throttle body which is the same size as the 454 one, but bolts on with the right TPS switch and TV cable connector.

 

you do know the 350 tbi's from the caprices were rated at a whopping 200hp?
