Add an EBL, Burn1, used laptop, and some 27C256 flash chips to that list to tie everything togather. You will NEED it for those changes. In my experience a set of 1.6:1 roller rockers, headers, and full exhaust is enough to change fuel needs 10-15% alone!

yea, i realize its gonna need some work there to get it to run decent, i talked to the guy thats doing the tuning on my buddies vert, he's good, he datalogged and got one real nice tune on his bill mitchell 464, unfortuantely the motor was lost to a catastrophic nitrous run on the dyno, bad casting but before she went they were running well over the 800 horse range, he's messing with my chip now to add some fuel and get it to where i can safely start it and break it in, he is coming over when we start it to be sure and then once its broken in he's gonna do the datalogging and get it up to snuff.....
I'm getting antzy all the accesories and belt drive stuff went on today, valve covers clear the alternator, i liked that, radiator's in and fan, have to fab the a/c delete plate until i find the box, later this week i should have the rest of the exhaust done and the a/c delete pulley in hand, shooting for thur, fri evening to fire her but even if that fails this coming weekend should be time

Thanks man, i've spent alot of time picking the parts to try to get the most out of it, we'll see what happens, the holdback is emmissions regulations but because of the elevation i can run a little more cam and fuel and whatnot here and there and still have it pass,
GOt the int pipe today full 3" to mat eto teh 3" cat, putting the muffler on with a turndown till its running to where i can take it to the exhaust place and have a 3" "out of site" tail pipe bent up for it.....getting close, cant wait to see how long till the rear end takes a dive, its been making a bit of noise at highway speeds....so i figure if i finsih it off it gives me a real good excuse to replace with deeper gears and a posi

I have a very similar set of ported 081 heads ready to go in, but I'm planning a little more aggressive cam than the one you listed. You won't be disappointed with the rear gear swap to 3.73 or 3.5x. Sounds like if you sidestep the clutch on a few hole shots and you'll have a valid reason to make the upgrade!

Irocbirdbuilder, how many hours would you guess it took you to complete the mods you listed? I'm assuming you left the motor in the car.

I timed myself doing a head/cam/1.6:1 rocker/intake swap on my old 305 in the Van. Took a little over 5 hrs with the proper tools(read AIR) and know how.

Wow!, I would be happy if I could get it done in a weekend, however that would be my first time and without any help.

mine took about 4.5 months, working 10-12 hour days, ie having to leave the house at 4 am wore on me, plus everything got painted, cleaned replaced the whole nine, fired her this morning through the cat, lasted about 10 mins before the neighbor was threating to call the cops cause it was shaking stuff off her walls
didnt even get to break teh cam in, she left so i was gonna set the timing on her and get her going a bit and it wouldnt start due to a burned up relay for the megashifter....again
