I STARTED AT 17.5!!!

I have a 1991 RS 305 TBI and iam looking to get my car into the 14 second range. Right now Iam running 16 even. Iam looking for anything i can do to my Tbi set-up. Hitting 14.9 will make my day. I have been looking into some cams. What would be the best for my car? I allready have 3inch exauhst and a 4.10 rear. What else could I do by keeping it a Throttle Body and a 305.

Also I havn't tuned my car yet. Would it make a big diffrence on the track?

First off, I think you'd get more help on the TBI boards.

Tuning is an essential element to a TBI car. ESSENTIAL! As for cam choices, I hear the LT1 take-out cam is a popular one. Like I said, try the TBI board.

I think 4.10 a little too low for a 700-r4. I bet you blow right threw 1st gear with that 3.06. Usually 3.73 is about as low as I would go w/ a 700-r4. I woulndt change that since you already have it though. There isnt much to do to a tbi unless you want to break down the block. You can get some headers and a open element air filter. It is possible to get 14s with a little time and money.

High 14's are possible with headers, tuning, stock cam, and a few other bolt-on's and take-offs (at least with a manual trans). Read this post: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...-progress.html
