X-ram

If your going to shell out $400 for the X-ram I'll sell u my Offy, bored tb's, custom top plate, and custom made plenum for $500... The X-ram is nothing more than a Wieland single plane with a box to mount the TB's.

The Xram is an adapter plate, not a manifold. The base is a Weind manifold that has had the carb mounting pad shaved so it fits under the hood. Depending on how stock your Xfire is, I would recommend just port matching the intake to the heads. I'm using a modded Xfire manifold on a modded 350 running low 13's. So it can be done.

Did you just "gasket match" the stock crossfire intake? I havent looked that closely but it looks like there is not much meat there. Thanks for the input.

That's what I did. The intake port is only about 2/3 the size of the head port.
I was able to match that and remove material about 3/4" into the runner. You just need to be careful you don't poke through the bottom of the runner.
In fact, I think someone on CrossFire Injection Vault will CNC the manifold ports. Some others have gone further and removed quite a bit of material from inside the runner itself. I had the manifold Extrude Hone'd. You can also remove the EGR channel and cut back the tops of the runners inside the plenum. Here's a good tech article on it The CrossFire Injection Forum There's some more DIY stuff you can do to make the Xfir manifold breathe much better than stock, like a lid spacer.
You'll find that one of the real problems with the Xfire isn't the manifold breathing but the poor fuel distribution due to staggered injectors. The front is smaller than the rear injector to make up for the drop in FP between the front and rear TBs. //plumbing the TBs helps that a lot and the engine will run much smoother.

This is taking the fuel supply and splitting it to both TBs in parallel. The stock Xfire uses a single fuel line and the TBs are fed in series. //plumbing requires individual fuel and return lines to be plumbed to each TB. It also requires that the accumulator and regulator are blocked off using an external regulator. The picture shows just one of the ways to do it.
