Rs2nV is going to the track

Well gents, with a nastyily low 2.73 rear end and no tuning work yet i am taking her to the track wed. night (19th) if the weather looks good when i am getting ready to leave.....i figure with teh first event after the mile high nats there ought to be a good layer of rubber to play on...

Cant wait to see what it does, decided to do this as a baseline and then see what i gain with gears and then see what i gain with tuning....and i got a real bad itch to see the lights drop.....doubt i'll have results tomorrow night but i will have them thursday....am trying to get my buddy to go up there with me to record my runs since my woman is stuck at work till 430....wish me luck and say a prayer for the weather to hold

welp not much to say, couldnt get the car out of mid 17's all night...reactions were ridiculously pathetic, my best being a .543...havent cut a light in 3 year though too...half track she pulled but i know gears and tuning killed me...but i have a baseline now, can only get faster, its getting the rear and tuned shortly...this winter it will be getting boost not sure what or how but it is a sure thing....i am considering going to a multiport setup but i am unsure just yet...first run the car next to me wouldnt start under the tower...got it running he stallled it in the burnout box, car was getting hot, started loading up...light went, bogged real bad to where i thought it was going to die, got on the brake and gas to clear it out...broke the rear loose...pretty dissapointing night

What is the altitude at the track, that can make a substantial difference. I do agree that you should be alot faster than mid 17s.

bandimere is located at a nasty 5800 foot elevation......

TAlking to a guy sat night he has a chevy duece running a MPFI setup that runs low 8's on spray i chatted for hours about temps of incoming air and teh effect with the elevation.....as he said figure the car sucks in 150* incoming air...at a 5800ft elevation with the density it equates to the car breathing at 10k plus foot elevation......i am planning on isolating the tbi to the rear of the cowl to help the intake i saw some sweet numbers this guy had before and after the isolation box

I think the altitude correction would be around a full second.
