L-98 with LO-3 induction

I decided to ditch all my tuned port stuff on my engine and run TBI. This is whats in the car, I also ditched the edelbrock headers in favor of a TPI exhaust system.

Lets not bash this because this is a california car and TPI is a visual fail where as TBI passes as long as the air cleaner isn't removed

1990 vette shortblock with iron 083 heads
TPI fuel pump
TPI exhuast system
373 gears
5 speed

now to the questions

will a 350 esc knock sensor and est module really help much ?

would I benefit alot from 350 injectors ?

would a tbi edelbrock manifold help very much ?

also whats the correct VSS gm part number for this TBI system the car has all 1990 electronics in it.

the car seems to run real good, only code is 24 which is vss related. should I stay away from a different prom since it does run great already ?

You will indeed need 350 injectors and knock sensor. They are key to this swap. If the edlebrock headers have AIR provisions I would run those. They should be smog legal for California and will be better than the stock exhaust manifolds. An edelbrock TBI intake will be fine but you may want to have it bored to 2" if you plan on making more than "stock" power. The key to this set-up, as with all TBI set-ups is chip tuning. Fast355 will chime in. He has completed numerous TBI to TPI and TPI to TBI swaps. Just curious but what are your reasons for the swap?

This site will help ya

There is a guy in Syracuse that built a nice 350 with TBI and chronicled it on a web site. The site is loaded with usefull info - Brian's 1991 RS. I think he hangs out in here as z28boy or something like that. Met him a couple of times and he is a decent guy, but he may have some of the info that you need.

Good luck!
