is there a way to get some colder air into the motor? the tbi cars can have the elbow down to a space where the air is much cooler... on my 91 lo3, it just has the snorkel where the hood meets the body... thanks for the help

Well you could reroute a tube from an adjustable cold air intake kit or something simalar from just underneath the front spoiler up to your cleaner or install a cowl hood and pull air from there. Now this is going to sound stupid and thats what I thought it was when I first saw this setup but.......... it works a fellow co-workers brother has a 96 firebird with a ram air hood I believe 4" with two little fans installed just about an inch from the cowl entrance when I first saw it I laughed my *** off but oyu can tell a definite difference from when they are on and when they are off. I still think it's impossible for this to work but it does.

You could do the cadillac/tpi cai mod. I followed this guide by srdynamics1 and made my own earlier this summer.
