is there a way to get some colder air into the motor?
the tbi cars can have the elbow down to a space where the air is much cooler... on my 91 lo3, it just has the snorkel where the hood meets the body... thanks for the help

Colder air
Well you could reroute a tube from an adjustable cold air intake kit or something simalar from just underneath the front spoiler up to your cleaner or install a cowl hood and pull air from there.Now this is going to sound stupid and thats what I thought it was when I first saw this setup but.......... it works a fellow co-workers brother has a 96 firebird with a ram air hood I believe 4" with two little fans installed just about an inch from the cowl entrance when I first saw it I laughed my *** off but oyu can tell a definite difference from when they are on and when they are off. I still think it's impossible for this to work but it does.

You could do the cadillac/tpi cai mod. I followed this guide by srdynamics1 and made my own earlier this summer.
