I just bought a complete 1992 Camaro TBI set-up w/harness off ebay. I was under the impression that all 88-92 F-Bodies had the vats system on it.

I was doing some searching on this site here

GM VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) PASSkeyII

And it said the vats wire would be Pin B-6 on my ECM, on my 1989-92 TBI diagram I have it says that section is "not used".........I couldn't find any other wire that says "vats" or "fuel disable" on my diagram.

This leads me to believe this car I got the parts from didn't come with vats ...

Any ideas or suggestions....this is going on a 1982 Corvette 350. I've already bought 350 injectors and a prom chip (same ecm number) from a 5.7 Caprice that didn't have vats....the vats code is supposed to read "0" but I didn't know if there was anything else done to a stock caprice harness to make this work.

One last question has anyone used one of that websites "vats" eliminator modules? I didn't know if they were junk or worth buying.

Just wanted to get all the needed parts together before I tackle the install.

I have a '92 305 TBI. It has VATS. That's all I can tell you.

 

im almost positive that f bodies from 87 to 92 had VATS.my friends 86 iroc dont have the chip in the key.so i dont think his car has the vats.

 

89 UP had vats
