HELP!! TBi Questions

im putting together another car for a daily driver. its a 91 formula with a tbi 5.0 and a 5 speed. i bought the vortec base 350 crate engine from summit, and i was gonn go carb, but id rather stick with the efi. it seems the only one who makes a tbi vortec manifold is GM. so im gonna do that long with the 670 holley throttlebody. my question is what to do about the computer. im not thinking the 5.0 computer will work. what should i do help!!!!

Gotta use that search tool. Check the Stickies at the top of the forum too. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...free-tune.html the 5.0 computer will work for sure. I've got a 350 H.O. motor from summit from GMPP with vortec heads and edelbrock Performer RPM manifold with tbi adapter and other TBI related mods such as Raised injectors, Ported Stock throttle body, and higher fuel pressure with custom tune. It's not difficult to tune at all and you will learn so much. That or you could cop out and trade over to a 1227747 ecm (your current is 1228746) and hope it will run right, but it will still require tuning on your part because of better flowing heads and intake. BMmonteSS is the guy who did the thread, hes got a WEALTH of knowledge. Sorry for the rant but TBI is the way to go. Fuel effeciency, ease of repair and tune, and they were used on many vehicles from GM.
