Intake Upgrade

Pablo, Tas, Whomever..

Am planning on upgrading the stock intake manifold with edelbrock's #2104 Perf intake. Non EGR, and I know I'll need an adapter plate, would the Holley 17-41 work even tho it's for a 2" bore size? It is a stock TBI unit, w/ adjustable AFPR. I know Tas suggested maybe the torker2 intake, but I think that would present some height problems, this all needs to fit under a stock hood. Comments and suggestions gladly accepted. Thanx guys.

Current mod;

open element drop base, k&n
TBI spacer
1.6 magnum rockers
hooker headers
hollow cat
custom chip
a/c, air system, air pump removed.

The Torker II will fit under your stock hood. I've got one with the super thick Holley TBI adaptor on top under my hood. It's close, but there's no contact.

yep thats exactly the setup I had before I made the unwise decision to use the turbo city adapter merely because it centers the throttle body

ive now determined that the holley adapter is a better design by far and its executed in the way it is for a reason

Thanx Pablo, Tas.. I do appreciate the input, got a super deal on a perf intake though. New and in the box still. I know it's not the torker2, but its a start. One step at a time I think. Partly due to my shoestring racing budget.

How long should it take to put on the torker manifold?
