91bird305, a .030 overbore is such a small step up in cubic inches its really not even worth discussing any power gains from the CI increase, on a 305 you gain 4.9 ci? cmon now, thats not gonna even mean a tenth dude

and i dont really feel like locking this i think you guys know when to say when... I think its about that time seeing as how you're arguing about nothing now

good lord some of you guys (including myself) are stubborn. well at least this shows that we all will stick to out guns and try to prove our points when we have to. i think that is definitely a good thing as long as we keep it technical and not personal. now what we should all do with all of this bottled up aggression is this....

either get laid

- or -

lets go make up some names on a mustang message board and give 'em hell! we can argue with teh guys that we should REALLY be up against. The "five ohh slows".

but then again, who would want to beat a dead horse anyways?

i agree, lets stop this arguement. There are 2 ways to go and both should get u into the 13s if done right.

PABLO i just want to say nice job in keeping ur 305 instead of a 350. I like to see guys who appriciate what these cars came with.

BTW i know i shuldnt even say this but i do have one more point to bring up 91bird. If superchargeing a 170 hp motor is dumb how do u think ricers feel turbocharging a motor that has like 90 hp to start and ending up with 130 140 the end. Its not all that uncommon to supercharge a lower out put motor. Isnt that what superchargers are for??
Also, my peg leg rear isnt a peg leg rear, and even if it where (which it isnt) it would still hook up better becouse my wheels are alot wider. Remember i have 16s

But u have 215's still. So don't start man. U think just because u have 16's and 3:73 gears that your 170hp engine can beat mine? Dude, u have a lot to learn. I do belive supercharging an 90hp engine is dumb and I belive supercharging a 170hp is dumb and I will always belive that. Weiland clains 25-40% gain. I am just guessing but do they mean 25% of the power you already have? So that would give u 212hp (170x.25)or 238hp (170x.40). Now u can make tons more with that supercharger when u throw in a cam, exaust, headers, intake but that is another sh*t load of money u have to spend. Again, I would never supercharge my engine, 305 or 350. I would go NOS all the way. I can buy a NOS kit for 600 bucks and choose my hp spray from 50-125. Of course, u have to make sure your engine can handle that NOS but doesn't that sound better instead of an increase to 238hp for 1500.00 bucks u could go 220-270hp for only 600.00. Makes sense to me. But that is just me. Haven't done it yet so I don't know if it is worth it or not, so don't qoute me, I am only looking at the stats and prices.

And Pablo, when did u start running 13's anyways? Last time I remember, u said u haven't had your car timed yet. So don't start making claims of 13's until you get there. Plus man, your 305 isn't even an LO3 anymore. Its a pabLO3 You have done so much damn work to that engine you better be getting somewhere with it. pabLO3 thats a good one.

91bird, lets be gentlemen about this. We can go on about who is faster and who isnt, but to be completly honest we will never find out. I will never drive my car that far let alone race it. So lets stop this little arguement between the 2 of us. I was pretty harsh about talking **** about ur ride. By no means am i backing down from n e kind of challange but lets be real about it huh...

91Bird305,

I never claimed I was in the 13s first off

secondly, you seem to be the root of alot of problems on this board. Ive yet to see you add anything of value other than talk about your future ZZ4 and carburetors and such. There are other message boards on thirdgen that might be better suited to you, check them out. Cut the crap please
