How about injector pods too. Today i had a 91 i think suburban with 454 tbi in my shop. I tooka long look at it and it seemed that the casting was different than my 454 tbi. also the injector pod had a few VERY small differences too. the tps on the suburbans 454 was like on my 92 305's tbi unit. It also had an injector spacer on it. did this ever come from the factory, i checked for grinding of the rear of the tbi for the fuel lines, and they seemed to already be cast with recessions to fit the injector spacer.

When did they change the tps sensor?
and did they ever come factory with injector spacers?

wire colors are the same so it wasnt hard to swap, i was just wondering if anybody had info on this. the 454 i have has an open lever thing, that i can play with and will of course increase fuel without increasing air. the one on my 305 tbi is completely enclosed.

just looking for year changed or any other info.

im pretty sure they had that injector spacer for a long time if not from the start
gm knew about getting the spray cone out to the edges just like we do

and the late model tbis all seem to have the funny tps i think everything 91 and up but im not sure
