Hey guys. Got another "what is this hose?" question for ya. ive been trying to find out why my car has been idling so darn rough. and after removing the air cleaner assembly i finally tracked down a vacume leak. pretty gnarly hiss too, not sure how i never noticed it. Anyways here is a picture of it. The broken end of the hose is on my index finger and it travels right to that metal fitting behind the TB on the manifold. both ends are pretty ate up. So i dont hear any other hissing or anything so is it safe to say this is the main reason im feeling some loss of power and rough idle?

 

and also i was noticing my throttle linkage was kinda loose. how would i go about tightening that? thanks alot.

 

that's the vaccum line that opens up the heater vents inside.

 

Damn. i was hopin i could just plug it. But i like my heater haha. Pain in the *** to replace? im not even sure where it goes.
