Hard Starting

Hard Starting

When trying to start my tbi, unless you press and hold the accel a little it will not start. Is this just a tps adjustment or something else.

Nope, it has to do with pressure on the acc.

Try disconnecting your neg, teminal on you battery to reset the computer. If that doesnt work, replace the tps, if that doesnt work take the tps back, and update us here.

Thanks, I will do that tonight. I am used to TPI and not sure on the TBI. That is why i thought it might be TPS related but did not know if TBI used on.

its probably a better idea to test your tps first with a DVM, most places dont take returns on electrical items, should be under 1.25 prolly best around .8 and an even sweep up and past 4 volts

i agree you should do a tuneup if you havent in awhile
