Hey snflupigus, sounds like you want to get rid of your cat converter. It's sooo simple, if you have a cut off tool that is. Just cut the cat right off, get a pipe that's the same size as your exhaust system, and either have it welded in or clamp it in (I suggest welding obviously). You want to remove the rest if the smog stuff too I see. That's easy. Start by removing the A.I.R control valve, which is held on by 2 bolts on the bottom (if I remember correctly), and the 2 wiring connectors. Next, remove the pipes from your exhaust manifolds and plug the holes, or do like I did and get headers with no A.I.R tubes (SLP suggested here). Then remove the A.I.R pump. 2 bolts here, their Torx headed. You'll have to re-route the belt and get a longer one. I have the length somewhere around here, I'm assuming you have airconditioning? I'll get yu length and a pic of the routing as soon as I can find it.

Hope I helped.

BTW, you won't get any "Service Engine Soon" lights either, I've heard about that before and it's a bunch of crap.

ya, im gona wing it, im sure i can handle that stuff. I was just wondering how hard it was to take out the cat. Or how long it would take, etc. im going to do it, and ill figure out how, i just thought ide see if there were any tips to take note of. I like to learn from other peoples mistakes so i dont make the same. o, and im just gona leave the smog pump there.
