gear
gear
My lo3 needs lower gears and i was just wondering who sells 373s and a posi unit the cheapest. I really would like to spend 400$ or less on both but Im not sure if thats possible. Thanks
you can get a 4thgen rear with posi, disks and 3:42 gears for less than that. dunno if they have 3:73s...

Pablo, when you say to get the rear end out of a 3rd gen car, do you mean just the gears or the entire rear end??? If its just gears,I could probably just order them new from GM I would think?
the whole rear end i meant
out of like an 86 v6 firebird
only 55 dollars at my local u pick yard, should be around the same where you live
if you were to buy the gears new from gm, youd need to go through the hassle of an install where youd need to pay even more for special tools and the time it takes to set it all up

you can get gears and a really good posi chunk from slp for cheap.this is the page at their site that the rear end stuff starts. they even list the dana44 that i have in my car. http://www.slponline.com/browse_cat.asp?pagenum=3
